from the mess of wires. Modern technologies
have enhanced the efficiency of printers. Wireless connection not only saves
from tangled wires but also allows printers for utilization by more than one
computer.
However, sometimes we encounter wireless network errors like network

usually occur when your WiFi router has a connection limit or the network
settings have been corrupted. The error will hamper the workflow, so it is
crucial to address it.

connecting to WiFi error
If you are using a desktop, then it’s rare to encounter a major
connection error. It is usually laptop users who face WiFi errors. So, before
jumping onto fixes, ensure that the error is from the printer side and that
it's not an HP
laptop not connecting to WiFi error. Restart your laptop and verify the
WiFi connectivity.
If the error is with the printer, then try these solutions to fix HP
not connecting to WiFi:
Restore the connection setup
Use the steps below to restore the WiFi setup mode:
1.
If your printer has a touchscreen, then go to
“Network Setup/Settings” from the “Wireless or Setup” menu and choose “Restore
Network Seeings.”
2.
If you have an HP inkjet printer without a
touchscreen, then press the Wireless and Cancel buttons together till the Power
button blinks, then wait for the Connectivity light to glow.
3.
If you have a laser printer without a touchscreen
and pressing the Wireless and Cancel buttons doesn’t work for you, then press
the Wireless and Attention buttons to put your printer into wifi setup mode.
4.
If you have an Envy 6000, Envy Pro 6400, Tango, or
similar printer, then reset the setup by holding the Wireless button until the
blue or purple light doesn’t show up.
The printer will be in setup mode for almost two hours, and the
connection will be discoverable. The steps can also be used to set up the
printer for the first time.
Use WiFi protected setup (WPS)
Follow the steps below to use WPS to connect your printer without a
touchscreen to the WiFi:
1.
Ensure that the HP printer and computer are near
the connection router.
2.
Connect your PC with WiFi (not Ethernet).
3.
Hold down the Wireless button (in some printers, “Wireless
button + Power button”) and wait until it flashes the light.
4.
Then, press down the WPS button (within two minutes
of doing the above step) on the router till the process of connection starts.
5.
When the lights from the printer buttons stop
flashing, it means it is connected to the network.
Use direct connection settings
Follow the steps below to connect your printer to the network using WiFi
direct setup:
- First, place your devices near the router and ensure that your
printer has enough ink and paper in the tray.
- Now, find the printer's WiFI direct name and its password. If your
printer has a control panel, then either touch the “WiFi direct” icon to
see the details or print a “Network Configuration” page from the Report
menu. However, if your printer doesn’t have a screen, print the
configuration page (depending on the available buttons):
by pressing the Information (i) button;
or by holding down the WiFi direct button (for 3 seconds);
or by pressing the Information and WiFi direct button together;
or by pressing the Resume button (for 10 seconds);
or by pressing the Cancel button (till all printer buttons light up) and
then pressing the Information and Cancel buttons together.
- After finding the WiFi direct details, go to the wireless settings
on your computer.
- Choose the printer’s WiFi direct from the available list and enter
the password to connect.
- Then, fill the address bar
with “192.168.223.1” in the browser to open.
- Now, enter information to
open EWS.
Tap “Continue” in case it shows security warnings.
On the login page, enter the username “admin” and pin from the label
pasted on your printer
backside (if you haven’t changed the password).
- Now, choose “Wireless (802.11)” from the Network menu and click
“Wireless setup wizard.”
- Select your WiFi name and enter the password to complete the
connection setup and fix the HP not connecting to WiFi error.

Using the above solutions, you can quickly fix the HP
not connecting to WiFi error. Other than these solutions, you can use
